The last Itouch question...?

okay so i've setup a wireless connection so i've got my main Imac working, and i've got my Other powerbook G4 working and i've got my IPhone 3G working with the internet connection, but for some reason the itouch is not working...

so basically it comes up with "apple 8e4jr83d" and i touched on it,

but nothing is comming up like the 4 bars which represent the signal...

and it's not letting me acess the internet.

i've reset it, but still not working

i've tried every possible way

any ideas or help?

  1. Here's a full generic answer to most connection problems involving Wi-Fi and Apple.

    remember if its an apple base station you only need to enter the password  in the Wireless box, but if you use a non-apple base station you MUST use the Hex Equivalent  as Apple and PC use different encryptions.

    the iphone 3G and Ipod Touch use same basic Wi-Fi chips so they should have similar signals although as the iPod has a mostly metal back it needs to point towards the base for a full signal as otherwise the metal acts as an attenuator.

    if you see a signal but cant access the internet. try resetting the device first then check your  Settings> Wireless are correct and have correct passphrase and encryption WEP or WPA!!
