  3. Toss up between the Thrashers and the Panthers

    EDIT: Why the thumbs down...

  4. atlanta and nashville

  5. Nashville.  Fold 'em up, send them to the AHL.

  6. Nashville is last in both television ratings and merchandising sales, and 28th in corporate support (Calgary and Edmonton are lower)

  7. Kansas City Scouts

    Couldn't stay away, eh Lity?

  8. as in a lot of people hate them, flyers

    least fans probably phoenix

  9. unfortunately nashville, even though i really like them and i also think atlanta might be up there too

  10. The Nashville Predators or The LA Kings.

  11. Hi

Depending on how you are defining "popular" will vary your answers.  I would say though Panthers, Thrashers and Coyotes all in the running though.  I do see brighter futures for the last two that should help with their popularity.

    Thank You

  12. Phoenix Coyotes or LA kings. The most popular is the Flames, Leafs and Habs.

  13. Atlanta, has basically no fans, everyone at their games is the players' moms and puckbunnies still looking for Marion Hossa.

  14. Nashville is their name, and Copas is their only fan. =b

  15. islanders

  16. The Los Angeles Kings, who cares about a winter sport in a place where it never snows.

  17. Probably Nashville or Phoenix based on their attendance and ticket revenue.

  18. Winnipeg Jets, no wait...umm..Hartford Whalers...hrmmm..nevermind..how about the Quebec Nordiques??

  19. Atlanta or Nashville..

How are the fans in St.Louis

Vancouver canucks and calgary flames are at the top of the list for popular teams. Have you seen their arenas..they are a canadian team.

  20. vanouver canuck

    nashville predators

  21. Judging by fans on this site, I would say Atlanta Thrashers

  22. While many people have said Nashville, at least they are represented here in this forum (with Copas proudly leading the way). The Predators have been a very good team the past four seasons, so that's a head scratcher. My vote would go to the Atlanta Thrashers. In my time here, I have yet to come across a Thrashers fan who's either willing or brave enough to cast their support towards a team that is somehow less popular than the Falcons.

  23. Vancouver has to be the least popular.

  24. Well ya gotta go with the Laughs. They are both the most favorite team in North America and the most hated.

  25. i would guess like a southern team like flordia or nashville

Wow! LITY i wouldn't think calgary would be one of the least populars ...with the C of Red and all

  26. All things considered--- Yep--- Its us... (Dammit)

Add for Lity-- The numbers for corp. sponsorship are correct for the entire season..  It should be noted that after the sale of the franchise finalised, the corp. sponsorship rose by 28% approx. as to the beginning of the year..  As of June 1st, 95% from last year have renewed and 22 newbies have climbed aboard so far..  Rumor has it-- Nissan is soon to follow as they are relocating their world headquarters to Nashville -- They had a smaller role last season and wanted the arena naming rights, but are looking to get settled in before committing on a larger scale..  Leipold snatching away all the SC Johnson Company sponsorships left a huge hole, but it is recovering nicely..  He was supposed to return partial sponsorship once the team sale was complete, but that seems to be an afterthought seeing as he is the new Wild suitor..

Should be noted that individual ticket sales were #1 in the league for the second year in a row-- meaning that the Predators had more "average Joe" season ticket holders than any other team in the league.. Attendance wise-- the franchise werent allowed to include any and all comped tickets in determining actual attendance figures.. More or less what is listed is roughly minus 1158 fans for 41 home games-- the average number of comped tix for the season...

Your facts are correct Lity, but things are on an upswing-- (I hope)   And its been the problem of corporate support all along that has been the acchilles heel for this franchise..
