Question:

The leaves and stems of my Shasta daisies are turning purple and dying. How can I save them?

I have searched on the web for answers, but I can not find any causes that match what my daisies look like. The blooms are also dying fast or turning purple even before opening.

  1. I am guessing of course but it might be a phosphorus deficiency.  Fertilize.  There are a few other things that can cause this.  If you have used a weed killer recently near by it can prevent uptake of nutrients and kill the plant if there is drift of the weed killer to the garden plants.  Like if you applied it to your soil.  Without a picture it is hard to tell but here is a link below.


  2. They don't have enough energy to bloom!!! Is it getting enough sunlight???
