It has done this two years in a row. Basically the leaves turns brown and dry up. Could it be a fungus? - and if so, how can I treat it?

  1. well monkshood plant is a perennial living more than two years it is also decideous meaning it loses its leaves in preparation for fall or winter depending on your region it could be doing just that .... if its in the ground gophers could be eating it..... if you suspect a fungal disease the you would have to look for some kind of residue on the plants.... that would mean the presence of fungi... i know that munkshood is a low maintenance plant..... so you might just need to water it more... because one thing they do enjoy is moist soil......the best of luck
