The left button on my digital camera broke?

Question

when i press the left button on my digital camera it actually goes down?

its getting to be a big problem since i cant change a few settings on my camera. like you go left to turn down brightness and go right to turn up brightness. or go back when im viewing my pictures.

can i fix this myself?

if not. where can i get it fixed and how much will it cost?

First, what camera is it?  You probably can't fix it yourself.  If it's under warranty, it will be free to fix, as long as it wasn't dropped or something.  Otherwise, it could cost a bit to fix.  Again, it would help to know what camera it is.
