I am too old and my hands are too shaky to do it myself.

  1. a welding shop.

  2. I would go to a local "mom-and-pop" hardware store, and I'm sure someone there would be more than happy to fix it for you.  Small, family-owned stores like to keep a friendly relationship with their customers, and even if they've never seen you before, they'll want to see you again.  And if fixing your teapot might bring you back in, they'll kindly do it free of charge.

If not, try to get a friend or neighbor to fix it for you.  It bothers me that you're even asking about a store... if I had an older neighbor that needed any help, I would hope that they would know they could ask me.  Surely you have a kindly neighbor or two, even if no family is around.  If not, see if there's a senior center in your area - not only are they a great place to make friends, they can be a wealth of resources when you need something done.

Sorry I can't just fix it for you myself - I'd gladly do it.  I hope you find someone.
