The light want on when the lightbulb was dead for like a year. VERY IMPORTANT!!!?

me and my friend were in the kitchen on the computer when the light(in which the lightbulb was dead for over a year) went on. when i went to to turn it off, it turned off, but when i tried to turn it back on it wouldnt. What's going on?

  1. It's GHOSTS!

    No, actually, when a light bulb burns out the filament 'parts'.  It breaks and no longer completes the circuit.  But sometimes the filament is still there, it just has a little break in it.  If you jiggle it, the two ends will come together and the light will light up again.  It's possible for the ends to come together over time just by sagging slowly.  Then they are just barely touching, so if you jiggle it, or turn the light off and back on, they break again and the light is 'burned out' again.

    or the electrics to or from that switch could be faulty, get the electrics checked as soon as you can, lest an electical fire should take place.
