The lining of my eye is swollen and red?

what do you think can be the cause of it? its the lining of my eye that is swollen, not to be mistaken with the eye lid. i do use the computer for about 8 hours a day doing homework. oh and i don't wear contacts, and its not an infection because theres no puss. its not my whole eye just the bottem half of it has been red for months. is there anything else that can be causing it? what do you think?

  1. Do you mean the transparent covering of the eye ball?

    Most likely cause is allergy.  See an eye doctor for accurate diagnosis.


  2. Eyes don't have "linings", eyelids do.  

    Are you possibly referring to your lower eyelid?

    It definitely sounds like infection (pus is not always present in infection).

    Eye problems are not to be taken lightly. See a doctor as soon as possible.

  3. It may be stye, conjunctivitis or pink eye. You should see a doctor.

  4. try putting eye drops in it may be dry
