i play guitar and i want to avoid getting carpal tunnel at all caosts what do i do

  1. playing guitar is no worse for your hands than playing an xbox, and no worse than raking, so i wouldn't fret about it...

    i know that was a lame pun, but i'm feeling lame this morning :D


  2. Dude I work in surgery...your more likely to get CPS from typing on your computer, or jackin the ol' lap rocket. I will say that more people have surgery to correct (which is just snipping the carpal ligament) it - got it from doing things that they didn't enjoy, just little surgical psychology...but taking frequent breaks is supposed to help, and relaxing your hands often, other than that don't worry about it.

  3. well, you get carpal tunnel from the repetitive wrist movement.  secretaries get it a lot, ya know from typing, using the mouse.  my grandmother got it from ironing so much.  idk how you would avoid it playing guitar, i mean, ya gotta strum that sh*t! lol
