I am trying to get an overall view from the coin world on these coins. Are they going to be excepted or are they going to follow the gimmik coin route to the dust bins of history?

There is an article in Coin World about them but I have yet to be able to read it??? If you have an opinion, let me know. If you have read the article what did it say???? Thanks

  1. i get mine at the bank for $25 a roll or a dollar each. I save a few and hand out the rest to kids at church. The first 6 or so have edge markings making them more collectible. they are real dollars not gimmick like the Marshall Island WW-2 $50 Silver Coins or Corvette with headlights. I think they are good for collecting from the bank, or real soon from a coin dealer, but not from a private mint, selling them for $19.95 + S&H for coin and cardboard holder, oh and you get a Free bool to hold it, Heart hold still. I want mine from Citibank thank you very much. Hope this helps you

  2. strange they are not mentioned at all on the US mint website:

    http://www.usmint.gov/search/index.cfm?h...

It makes sense to me that a dollar coin would only be worth a dollar....if you like them collect them but no way would I pay eighty bucks for one!
