  1. Go to control panel then mouse properties and see if it needs to be reconfigured. Sometimes they just change on their own


  2. You can reinstall the touchpad driver, be sure though that it's for your laptop's model.

    This happened to me actually.. lol I upgraded from Vista to XP so I lost some of the functionality,
