LeBron James was born on 30th December, 1984. LeBron or ‘King James’ is an American professional basketball player who is currently playing for the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The player recently moved to the Miami
Heat before he spent his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2003-2010.
This extravagant player was born in Akron, Ohio, United States and spent his high school life in the St. Mary High School. LeBron James is 6 feet and 8 inches and weighs around 113 kilograms. This player was the 1st overall pick in the 2003 NBA
draft, when he was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
After spending 7 years with the Cavaliers, LeBron James moved to the Miami Heat this summer to join hands with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. LeBron’s quest of an NBA title has been criticized by some while others say that a players like him deserves a title
and this would cement his chances of a strong finish this upcoming season and maybe even an NBA title.
LeBron James was born to Anthony McClelland as his biological father was an ex-convict. His father left his mother Gloria to raise LeBron all alone, who at the time was 16 years old.
LeBron James has provided his talents at the international level. Playing for the national team, United States of America, this immensely talented player has been able to get his name on the medals list quite a few times. LeBron James has won the bronze
medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. This was not appreciated by the home fans, as it was the first time that the U.S team failed to win the gold medal at the Olympics.
However, he was part of the United States team that won the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Another one of LeBron’s awards in national colours is that of the FIBA Americas Championship in 2007 at Las Vegas, where he managed to grab a gold medal.
During LeBron James time spent in the NBA, the ever-so talented player played 548 games to date. Out of these games, LeBron has started in 547 games. LeBron has already started a legendary career according to some. This extravagant player has bagged 40.3
points per game, has three point percentage of .329 while scoring around 23.7 points per game. Brilliant on the offence and defence, this superb player has come up with 7 rebounds per game, 7 assists per game and 1.7 steals per game. Last but not the least,
he maintains a free throw percentage of .742 and 0.9 blocks per game. During his career thus far, LeBron’s highest points per game average at the end of the season was in the 2005-06 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers where he managed to score 31.4 points
per game.
With the statistics of this player mentioned, let’s come towards his achievements. LeBron has won a lot already but what he lacks is a championship ring.
The astounding player was able to dominate and impress the NBA world in his very first season and won the NBA Rookie of the Year award in 2004. LeBron James has been part of the All-Star weekend every time since 2005 until now and continues to impress people
around the NBA world. He has also won the scoring champion award in 2008 and won the Most Valued Player (MVP) 2 times in 2009 and 2010.
LeBron is flooded with loads of talent, and due to this he has made it into the All-NBA First team 4 times. Coupled with this is the 2 times inclusion in the All-NBA second team. LeBron has made it into the All-Defensive First team 2 times in 2009 and 2010.
Last but not the least, this truly legendary player has also won the NBA All-Star Game MVP two times in 2006 and 2008.
