The losses for National Hockey League if the players are locked out for whole season
National Hockey League (NHL) will go through a lot of business and reputation if the players are locked for another whole season but it would also have a loss in the quality of the game.
NHL is widely considered as the best hockey league of the world because of the quality of the game. Even though European countries like Czech Republic, Sweden and Finland give a very tough time to USA and Canada at the international level but when it comes
to the domestic hockey, NHL easily edges out all leagues because of the money that it generates.
All the best players of the world, even when they are from Russia, Finland, Czech Republic or Sweden, turn towards the NHL when they have to develop their careers and never turn down the chance to play in America. But the present situation can change the
minds of the European players and they may think about not travelling past the Pacific Ocean to play the league.
The recent lockout has seen most of the European players returning to their home countries and those players have their fates hanging in the balance as most of them are concerned about their contracts and not sure when they will have to return back as soon
the lockout ends.
Such things can result in European players to give priority to their home leagues as none of them would want to be a part of such unsecure and inconsistent league.
It takes a lot from players as they have to adjust in the new conditions and settle down at the new place and some players have been forced to do so 3-4 times in their careers now.
There were players who were new in the NHL when there was lockout in 2004-2005 season but had to leave NHL and go to new places and then come back once again in 2005-2006 when the league restored.
Many of those players, who experienced that 8 years back have to go through all once again and had to leave NHL. They may not come this time because they would know that the tough job of adjustment that they already many times, could be done again if they
return back to NHL.
