i listen to Coast2Coast radio real early in d morning n d summer....

George sumthing brought 2 guests to talk about d machine under the border of France & some other country. ....... In order to study blackholes scientists will use d machine 2 create a "controlled blackhole". The problem with this if d blackhole isnt controlled it will go down 2 d center of d Earth and suck everything in it. The r planning on turning it on some time next yr.

Is any1 else worried?

  1. Is that happening in the year 2012 becos some people here seem to be concerned abt that ?

  2. aaah!!

  3. Nonsense bro, the LHC is not capable to create a Black Hole.

Even the flapping of a beehive's bees produce more energy than the LHC.

  4. Yes it is a doomsday device. The seven year anniversary of 9/11/01 will bring many terrible things. Get saved and repent now while you still can! Do NOT accept this:

  5. There is no reason to worry.  It is expected that no black holes will be created.  If, somehow, they are, they will be small because the amount of energy involved in creating them would not be enough to create a large one.  According to theory, small black holes evaporate instead of growing larger.

An even better reason not to worry is that collisions with higher energy than will be created by the LHC occur every day in the atmosphere when high energy cosmic rays hit the earth.  These never cause a problem, so the LHC won't cause  a problem.

  6. They are running start-up testing right now--- over about the next  4 weeks -- they will bring the machine "on-line". I believe September 10th is the date for the first full power test.

and NO-- the purpose of the LHC is not to create black holes but to investigate elementary particle physics --- nothing bad will happen.
