  1. "A"ish, The Kyoto Accord was rejected before George Bush took office. I would say blame it on Clinton, but it didn't even make it to his desk. The Kyoto Accord is a very bad deal for the USA. Before the Kyoto Accord was even made, congress created a law that if any world wide environmental treaty was made, that it would have to affect all nations. When Gore whet there and signed the Accord it was a symbolic gesture, but still it needed to be ratified by congress. Due to the previous bill and the fact that it a bad thing for us congress rejected it. The Kyoto Accord would have has made us keep our emissions to a level of pre 1997 levels. If we would be over we would have to buy unused carbon credits from other countries. this is bad because if we are going to stop the increase of CO2 we need all the money we can get. we don't need to be sending it to other countries. The Idea of a pre 97 level was unrealistic then and is even more so now. additionally if we didn't make the cap we would have to make it up with extra lower emissions the next time around. It was a way for the other countries to suck money from the USA, for a non proven theory. Don't just believe people when they say a certain president is bad for not signing something, there are usually underlying reasons or it may not have even been up to him.

  2. G. Think it is unnecessary and will only waste money and also will hurt the American economy (he already did by invading Iraq, though it was unnecessary and only made Iraq worse).

             Or

    H.  Had to chose either going and invading Iraq for insignificant reasons or to ratify the Kyoto Accord

  3. Except for the word "atmosphere" which doesn't really seem to belong in that sentence at all, I say A.

  4. E. don't want to submit to a Global Socialist agenda. We prefer freedom, thank you.

  5. Z.  Normally require a loss in battle before signing any terms of surrender to foreign nations.

  6. F. Would like to reduce pollution (carbon dioxide is not pollution), but don't have a good alternative energy source and the science behind man-made global warming is not sound.

  7. There's another one of those absurd assumptions being made by extremist right wingers.

It has absolutely nothing to do with socialism in any way shape or form.  They are just repeating the stupid ideas of other extremist right wingers and their ideology of hate.

    A .

Cost is the only issue that concerns them.  they think it is actually intelligent to have a discussion about whether it is worth saving the planet on an economic basis.

Bush is an oil man and is beholden to the oil industry as are most Republican senators.

It's is mostly about holding on to power of the rich oil companies and their control over our politics and economy.  Bush appointed an oil company lobbyist to head the EPA, that's the kind of environmentalist he is. And he appointed another oil company lobbyist to head the dept of interior which also has a lot of power in regard to the environment.

    B.  The Bush administration mostly doesn't believe global warming theory.  When their own study showed man's involvement,  they had their lawyers change the wording of the report made by climate scientists. To suit their own agenda.

Now they claim we shouldn't do anything unless China does because China is now surpassing the U.S as the worlds biggest emitter of greenhouse gases.  But we in the west with our industrialization over the last century or so are the ones that put most of the CO2 in the atmosphere that now supposedly poses a problem . You have to also consider that we have one fourth the population of China, which means we are four times as dirty per capita.

And the argument lacks merit because we should be setting the example for the world, instead of being the obstacle.

  8. Some numbers to use I researched  and found that there is .04% CO2 in the atmosphere today.  that is why i used this.

For some of you calculating people

    5     height of car

    5     width of car

    5280  mile in feet

    18    avg mile per gallon

    2,376,000   cubic feet in 5ftX5ftX18miles

7.48        Gallons in 1 cubic foot

17,772,480  Total Gallons to fill area

0.8         percent of C in gasoline

    14,217,984 80% of the Gas  is C

0.333       carbon is 1/3 of the CO2 equation

4,734,589   Gallons of gas to create CO2 to fill this area

    22,000      average miles per year

    18          avg mile per gallon

1,222.2222  average gallons used by 1 car.

3,873.75    Cars per year to fill the 18 mile stretch

    1,320,000   feet Long

    1,320,000   feet Wide

    15,000      feet High

2.6136E+16  Cubic feet of space in Arkansas

1.95497E+17 Gallons of gas to fill area

0.8         Percent of C in Gas

    1.56398E+17 80% of gas is C

0.333       The area would be 1/3 C if full of Co2

5.20805E+16 would take This much Gasoline to fill the area with C02

4.26113E+13 Cars per year to fill space in Arkansas with co2

    0.0004      Change of .04 percent

17,044,519,219    Cars per year to make area .04% co2

400,000,000 people in the US and all drive

42.61       Years to make the Area .04% CO2

106,528     Years to fill the area with Co2

    3,790,000         US Square miles

    27,878,400        squareFeet for Square Mile

    105,659,136,000,000     US Square Feet

    Assumtion for coal

    59    cubic-ft/ton

4,663,000,000     tons of coal per from the top 15 countries

2.75117E+11 Cubic feet of coal per year

    15,000      Height in the air

1.58489E+18 Cubic feet in the US

0.333 only 1/3 can be carbon year for the world

5.27767E+17 This much carbon is needed

1,918,338   Years to fill the US only area with the Carbon from world

    0.04%

767.34      Years to fill the US only area with .04% CO2

I know C does not make up 80% of gasoline but I used as wild of numbes as i could
