The majestic and beautiful Kingsbarns Links
Kingsbarns Links has a very old golfing history. It dates back to 1793, when Kingsbarns Golfing Society was formed. In 1922, Kingsbarns Golf Club was established along with a nine-hole golf course.
However, in 1939, the land used for the course had to return to farming, as UK suffered greatly after the World War I.
Nevertheless, a base was established, which continued to pave way for newer innovations and in 2000, a huge landmark was achieved.
Kingsbarns Golf Links was made. United Kingdom and Scotland had seen many links golf courses but this was special. It was a man made links golf course. The course has been designed by the world famous golf architects, Mark Parsinnen and Kyle Phillips.
Since its inception, it has hosted numerous events and, more importantly, the top ones. It is also a very renowned tourist destination, which make this course even more special.
The course has so far hosted European Tour's Dunhill Links Championship for the last 11 years. In 2007, the course was honoured with hosting rights for prestigious events, such as St Andrews and Jacques Léglise trophies.
One of the beauties of this course is that one can see the magnificent North Sea from almost anywhere on the course. Lush green fairways, smooth and curvy green makes this place a must come tourist destination.
The staff and everybody linked with Kingsbarns is very humble and kind. Once you come here, you already get a feeling that you are in a special place, a place which is unique, beautiful and boasts nature all around.
Just 6.5 miles from the course is the home of golf – St. Andrews golf course. Accommodation is also offered at this place.

Sandy Jones, Director of PGA America said, "Kingsbarns Golf Links is without doubt the best new golf course I have ever played with views of the sea from every hole complimented by a decision-making and strategic layout".
He added, "It's traditional golf at its best and I don't think you could ever tire of playing such a magnificent Links. Kingsbarns in my opinion, is one of the great golfing experiences in the world".
