The matte part on my ikea picture frame came off, anyway to fix it?

I bought Ikea an Erikslund picture frame http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60117040 and I didn't like the color of the frame, so I decided to paint it to another color. I used some tape to cover the edges of the glass area before I painted. However, when I peeled the tape off, the matte part also came off with the tape and now it looks terrible.

Is there a way to fix this or is there a paint or spray I can use to create the matte cover on the glass again?

Use primer over the entire frame, and repaint in the color you want.

Remove the tape when you finish painting, don't wait until the paint dry because the adhesive will dry also.

Why didn't you take the glass out before painting the frame? You could try taking the glass out and taping it off and spray paint it from the inside.
