Life comes at you hard

It doesnt slow down for anyone

or anything.

Ive learned to be strong

but it im not bullet proof.

Ive learned to get over the pain

but scars remain.

Ive learned to put on a smile

cuz thats what people want to see.

Ive learned to stand up for myself

cuz i am the only one brave enough

Ive learned that people are going to hurt me

but i know i dont need those people

Ive learned alot, but there are things i KNOW.

I know that I am strong

cuz i have overcome tough obstacles,

I keep pushing forward when things get tough

I know that life wont wait for me to make up my mind

I have to act now, or let the opportunity pass

I know letting the chance, the person, the moment go could affect my life

But I made that choice, and I will have to live with the decision (as hard as it could be)

I have left things unsaid to certain people

and I have regretted not speaking the words i want to.

and now knowing what i know, i wish i just would have said that one little sentence that could have changed everything.

But knowing that opportunity is still available...is what may be my incentive to just take the chance.

the meaning is that in life you have to take risks in order to get the rewards associated with those risks

to love is a risk but it is worth taking charge and trying to find it despite the fear of rejection

and it is about learning lessons and doing things differently with the knowledge gained from the past
