The medal count in the olympics...?

If a team of 4 wins gold, like in a swimming relay, does that count as 4 gold medals for a country or just 1??

it counts as 1 medal but everyone in the team gets one

Lol I asked the same question this morning

They only get one as a count

But they all get one as an individual

the relay team members will get a medal each but it will only be counted as one medal in the medals tally.

It adds 1 gold medal to the country overall, however, each athlete will get 1 medal each.
