The media called Obama's world tour a success. If it was successful, why has his poll numbers dropped since?

How does the media choose to define success?

The media defines success by their own standards. You are only successful if they deem you worthy of such status. Obama angered many middle of the road supporters with his statements abroad and the polls reflect this, but don't wait for the media to fall into line with what average people believe. It just doesn't happen anymore. They are no longer content to report the news, they want to control it. Understand this though. Most people just do not really trust the news media anymore. They only accept the reporting from those sources which mirror their own beliefs then call all other sources dishonestly biased.

The media has an ******* every time he blinks.  He walks on water to this pathetic bunch. I wish they would do their jobs and start asking him some tough policy questions and about his shady affiliations but I am not holding my breath........

The media is the media.  Who cares?  His numbers are dropping because he will not stop bringing attention to the color of his skin.  It is getting old.

Sen.Obama's numbers have become the same as Sen. McCain because he now has to become practical in his answers. He can no longer talk about change but has to provide change, so he is as much the change candidate as McCain is the true maverick candidate. This is why both are searching for pragmatic answers to problems as well as looking to provide new money sources. As he shifts to understanding terroism and the need to support the fight in Afganistan the his mantra for solution to Iraq becomes unnecessary. for JDis part he is now as well focused on our economy needs, our energy problems as well as terroism too.

The drop has nothing to do with his tour, it's got to do with time. The more time that goes by the more the public's BS detector picks up. The only problem for the Democrats, as has been their problem for the past 20 years, is that the general public isn't quite as dumb as they think they are. Look at who they're targeting. Blacks, to play the race card and vote for their black brother, and young voters, young kids that haven't been in the work pool long enough to realize the Democrats are s******g you.

It's time that is lowering his numbers, not the tour.

Obama is the Messiah, and everything he does is a success.  Same thing happened with Clinton, Gore, and Kerry (Clarke, too, until they realized that he supports abortions up until the day of birth).  The thing is, if Clarke had run this year, he probably would have won the nomination.
