s*x, violence and all things "immoral" sell, and well. But those who partake are disparaged. Why do you think so many people are entertained by things like that, but never participate themselves? And why do you think others aren't able to refrain from participating? Do you think most of these desires and disciplines come from within, or more from an outside influence?

  1. How we react to media and society is a reflection of our true self. If media's sell on s*x, for example, appeals to you more than what society imposes on you, wouldn't media's views add to your spectrum of options? Finally it is your call to choose.

  2. Hypocrisy. The media and society are both hypocrites and so are all of us. We are entertained by these things because it has become so common that its unavoidable even though we really do know that we shouldn't be. Again, hypocrisy.

  3. I think these desires come from within since most people don't going out having s*x all the time or behaving violence all the time.  So when people watch this or listen to this kind of stuff it refill their desires without actually doing them so they doing have to face the consequences of it.  Like for example when playing shooting games they experience the thrill (rush) of it, but if they had done that for real then they mostly have to go to jail for putting others live in danger.  So games like Grand Theft Auto help fill that desire without doing it for really so you don't get in trouble for it.  The same thing happen when people listen to s*x songs or watch s*x it just refill that desire within, because if you have s*x all the time you might get a STD or pregnancy.

    Summary up:

This sell well, because it refill people secret desires without actually doing it so people don't have to face the consequences of it.  So this is just the safe way of experiencing this kind of stuff without being expose to the consequences.
