The metal seal is loose

Question

My Ariston dishwasher has a loose inner seal. The seal is not on the door but on the unit itself. The rubber seal is enclosed in a metal rim that is seems to be glued in place. The whole rubber and metal seal has come loose and I cannot use the dishwasher.
Can you please advise me of how this can be fixed as the dishwasher repair people cannot seem to help me once I have described the problem.
