Question:

The metal sleeve of a RCA plug has broken off into a subwoofer slot. Please help me?

How can I get it out? Best answer gaurentee will get chosen in less than 2 hours!!!

  1. Any way you can get the case off the subwoofer? because then you could push it out from the inside, or if not, then perhaps once the case is off, there will be some of the sleeve poking out of the  input that you can grab with a pair of pliers? hope this helps, its the best i can think of without actually seeing it!


  2. If the grounding sleeve is still on the connecting barrel I'd get a pair of needle nose pliars and grip the outside of the barrel where the ground connecter is and rotate the ground connecter off.  Just dont squeeze to tight and pull the barrel off.

  3. If its just the shell to the plug you can remove it by twisting a small s***w into the hollow shell.  Don't force it!  Just tight enough till you feel a little resistance then use the s***w head to remove the plug.  Too tight & it will expand the metal & ruin the connector.  If there's a bit of metal visible you can try a forceps or needle nose pliers.
