  1. active duty army or army reserves. i don't favor the national guard much though because it's by state. do you want to be a Soldier, Marine, Airmen, or Sailor. The choice is yours.

  2. Navy is really good

you should really look into it.

  3. As far as I know, the army (active, national guard, or reserves) is the only branch that lets you specifically choose your job before you enlist (not just a branch). If I were you I would defiantly consider your life after the military. The military is a good job, but you may get tired of certain parts of military life, or you could get injured and you may not be able to serve any more. Choose a job that relates to a job that you would like to do after you get out of the military. If you do that it will give you tons of experience, and the army schools for each job can be transferred over into collage credit later on to help you get a collage degree.

There are jobs such as infantry that are challenging, but it does not give you a lot of job experience....other than maybe a hit man or something. You may also want to consider your enlistment bonuses. If the army needs more people for certain jobs, they may offer better enlistment bonuses (either cash or money for collage). Also some jobs require you to sign up for a longer first enlistment than others.

        Good luck.

  4. recruiters love all fresh meat. The more they recruit the better they're doing at their job.

Do alot of research yourself. The Australian Defence Force website goes in depth about all the job roles on offer, I reckin your country will have the same site somewhere. You don't want to go in and regretting the job you picked so take your time about picking.

  5. Ignore the recruiter that is all over you pushing for Guard. Don't be forced into something that you have no interest for.

Widen your horizons - visit recruiting stations for the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps....oh, and let's not forget the Coast Guard.....in your area. Heck, even go out of your area if you don't have one or two ready available to you. That's the only way you're going to be able to find the right one for you.

To note - if you're one of those who go stir crazy sitting on your *** most of the time, consider going active duty.

  6. Join the infantry, i just just got back from finishing all of my training for this trait. It's the most challenging experience ive had in my entire life but between firing assault rifles, motars, claymores, riding in helicopters, and taking a building by force it isn't all that bad. If you want a job that keeps the adrenaline pumping and on your toes the infantry is the way to go. The most rewarding and self motivating job the world has to offer.

  7. 6'1 250 pounds.... you need to play football... lol.. im joking.... Army... Active duty... National guard is basically what gives the army the bad name... they are the ones that take anybody.... Marines second because your never garunteed anything in there... Navy if you want to travel more than anybody else.... Air force if you want steak during training... Coast gaurd if you want to save lives.... Army and Marines if you want to take em... you wanna work Navy and Air force for the NON-COMBAT stuff... even though the marines and army have just as much NON-COMBAT MOS's... The Army is the only branch of military who garuntees what job you will have before you even sign the papers... the other MOS's fit you in where they please within that field of work you choose.... Not the type of deal i like.... but I have no problem with any branch just certain people in them.... especially some people in marines... gives my fathers Corps. a bad name.... I joined the army and plan on re-enlisting soon... just spend bored time on yahoo till i get my medical paperwork out the way... just a matter of time till i can go get my leg checked out and go sign up...
