The moderator of our grp is no longer existing, how do i del his acct & change 1 of the mem to be d moderator?

If you aren't the owner or the granted moderator you can't. But if you are here is how you can do it:

It can only be deleted if the moderator has the privileges to remove members from the group, and make someone else a moderator the changes can be made.  If not, the only thing that can be done is to start a new group.

unless you're a moderator with those priviledges, you cant and Yahoo wont either.

From what I've heard it would be easier to post a message telling everyone the circumstances and invite them to create a new group  (I'd call it  x-your group name)  I think your allowed to do "spin off" groups but check, I don't want to get you in trouble.
