  1. OK dont panic. buy an incubator that keeps the egg at 90 degrees f, and turn it a few times every day. since mama left, i guess she left for a reason right? theres a pretty big chance the egg was already dead. if it takes more than 3 weeks before it hatches, then it is dead. :(

  2. You need to put these eggs back in the nest immediately.  It could very well still be active. How many eggs are in the nest?  Birds do not start to incubate their eggs until ALL of them are laid.  She could still be in the laying process.   If it is not active...the eggs are  dead and you cannot hatch them anyway.  Also, you taking these eggs from the nest is illegal.  All wild native birds are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and you can be fined or jailed for being in possession of these eggs.

  3. if mama bird left the eggs there is a reason, unless of course something ate her while she was out, and the one that is cracked wont hatch unless its cracked because he is hatching right now.  most eggs have to be 90-101 degrees to hatch and turned every day and the humidity kept at the correct % (usually 60 some %  but i would have to check that against my incubator book to be sure)

  4. okay....first of all, get super warmth on it. but a portable heater or something by it. put the egg in a bowl or something, but line the bottom with a furry material (something soft). put a thivk blanket over the bowl to trap in heat. if its mom was gone for a day theres a good chance its already dead. (i know so sad) if it does hatch. make sure not to touch it with your skin. if the bird smells like a human other birds will kill it....

    good luck

  5. Well first off, you should never bring an egg into a house. The mother might have come back when you weren't looking or when you weren't home. If you try to put it back in the nest, the mother will smell you and it will abandon the egg. I'm not sure what you should do, but that was just a little advice.

  6. omg good luck we tried that many times unfortunately they all died
