  1. How old are the babies? If they are more than 2 weeks old, you can separate them from the mother hamster and start them on solid food since they can be successfully weaned from their mother from this age.

If they are less than 2 weeks old, wait for a couple of hours. Mother hamsters are known for taking short breaks from their baby caring duties. Take the mother hamster out and put her in her hamster ball for 20 minutes for a well deserved break. Once she is back in the cage, she would start her duties again. Also feed her lots of proteins like hard boiled egg white for her energy. Whenever the mother hamster takes a break, she would normally ensure that the babies are warm and well fed before venturing out of the cage, so there is nothing to worry about if she is taking short breaks from her babies.

If it does not work or you feel she is permanently neglecting her babies, then better to contact the nearest vet or professional hamster breeder who can judge the situation accurately and can choose between weaning the pups and taking care of them separately or giving them an adoptive nursing hamster mother (which breeders often do when they face the situation of dead mother hamster or hamster mother neglecting her babies.)

  2. You may want to bring them into the vetsoffice. Or at least call the vet they maybe able to help.  Make sure not to touch the babies at all, if you do the mother may ignore them even more. Try to put them in a warm area or add extra bedding in the cage. But Make sure to call a vet or the ppet storeA.S.A.P.

  3. mother hamsters wean their pups at around 3 weeks of age. but anything before that and they could die. try moving her cage to a quieter location and try not to disturb her. if she is disturbed too much she will kill the pups because she feels they are in danger. just let her be for a few days and she should go back to her pups if they are still alive. most mother hamsters do take breaks when nursing pups and they always make sure the nest is covered so the pups stay warm while she is away too. if you listen carefully you may be able to hear them squeaking and moving around, but don't get too close to her cage, especially when she is nursing. if all else fails and you still have worries, try contacting a veterinarian who specializes in small animals and they should be able to help.

  4. You are an idiot, you should never have bred hamsters. this world already has to many hamsters, most of them need homes too. this is what happens when you backyard breed. just do not do it again, keep the male and female separate.

but the babies will probably not die. this is common for first time breeders (idiots) the babies do not need milk 24/7 and the mother knows how much to give to them, most likely she is giving the babies enough, you just do see it, or think they need more. hamsters are good parents most of the time and if you leave her alone (with no male) the babies should be fine.

just do the right thing and dont breed anymore

  5. Give the mom a treat shell settle down and start taking care of her pups! but if not take her pups to the vet asap
