  1. Well lets see
Arabic, Aramiac and Hebrew are Semitic languages
The Feminine rendering of God in Hebrew is Aloah, the masculine is Alohim
In Aramaic it is Alah and of course in Arabic it is Allah.

In the Arabic Christian bible, the word for God is Allah.

Now as far as customs are concerned, some of Islamic antiquity are from previous cultures. Islam does not claim to be a new religion but fulfils previous scriptures.

Now have you heard of the eye of Horus and the virgin birth – sounds familiar? Check the pyramid and eye on a1 dollar bill – amazing!

The Gilgamesh epics (one of the oldest writings known to man) containing the creation and flood stories, remind you of something you have read elsewhere like the old testament maybe?

Yes it seems the monotheist faiths have borrowed from other early civilizations. So lets not knock anyone particular faith because it will only come around and bite you on your derrière.
