  1. Young people can hear higher frequences than the adults. People that haven't heard the mosquitos are probably too old to hear such high-frequency sound.

  2. you can def. hear mosquitoes.

they were probably REALLY close you your ear.

they flap thir wings so fast that they buzz.

    that is what you heard.

i hear them all the time when i go to my cottage.

  3. Funny you say that, i can hear them and usually keep the spray near by so i can zap them as they keep me awake too.

  4. I can hear them, but have had so many bites that I don't really react to them anymore, so try to ignore them.

Try a mosquito net for sleeping; they are fairly effective at keeping the critters away from you.

  5. that has to be one of the most annoying sounds on the planet

but not all mosquitos seem to make it

i was in italy for two weeks and got bitten nearly every night (ouch) but only heard them a few times

so if you're sleeping in different rooms, maybe all the noisy ones are in yours

and btw they're supposed to hate b vitamins so eat lots of bananas

    :]

  6. Sorry no when i was on holiday in Greece I couldnt hear them but you can see the bite!!! Are you sure its mosquitos you hear?? Dont mean to sound cheeky by sayin that

    xo

  7. Yes I do sometimes. They do make the noise you describe but it can only be heard when they fly right by your ear, so perhaps you've been unlucky or you are a light sleeper and it only wakes you up.

  8. yes you can hear them flap their wings, but they need to be right next to your ear

someone old probably can't hear it

it is only the female mosquito that drinks blood :)
