The most dominant men’s singles badminton players of 2010
2010 was a remarkable year in the history of Badminton, as the improved quality and tactics of the game, mental strength, incredible fitness and hunger for victory were the elements that enabled the shuttlers to make the year full of excitement. Most of

Badminton Asia Championships. He has occupied the number-two spot in the men’s singles world rankings.
The current world number three, Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia, who is the World and Olympic Champion, won three tournaments in 2010. He showed his superb skills in the French Open Super Series, Indonesia Grand Prix Gold and Canada Open Grand Prix. Hidayat
lost to China’s Chen Jin in the final of the Badminton World Federation World Championships 2010.
Chen Long, the upcoming star from China and the junior World Champion is also shining in the international events. He has is currently in the world number four position. The Chinese won the event of the China Open Super Series 2010 and also brought home
the title of the Bitburger Open. Long’s tremendous talent and incredible skill will definitely improve and he will be the player to watch in the next few years.
Denmark’s Peter Hoeg Gade, one of the all times favourites is now in his thirties and still manages the highest level of the game, has been placed at the number five spot in the recent rankings of the BWF. Last year was not that convincing for the Danish
legend, but he did win the European Championships and proved himself as the best player in the whole of Europe.
China’s Chen Jin, who is currently world number eight, won the BWF World Championships 2010 mega event and also emerged as the winner of the Swiss Super Series 2010. The reigning world champion is determined to get in the top five in 2011. His fierce competitive
spirit and aggressive style is turning some heads in the badminton world.
All of these elite shuttlers hold the top positions in the men’s singles category. They are being appreciated by countless sports fans from all over the world because of the impressive show they put on the court. These players are highly skilled and their
