The most hated footballers in the Premier League
The Premier League has it fair share of talented players, some players are adored by fans, while some happen to be the target for everyone’s hatred. Here is a look at the most hated players in the English Premier Legue.
Kieran Richardson: Kieran Richardson, is a more then decent footballer. In fact he is quite possibly one of the best players on the Sunderland side. The former Manchester United man, was bought by Sunderland for a bargain. However when the
team was signing the player they failed to take into account the hate that he was subject to. The player is hated for the way he performs on the pitch when he isn’t playing, but what managed to really tick the fans off about the player, was the tail that was
growing from the back of his head. The player thought that his new hairdo would set him apart from the rest, it managed to do exactly that only not in a positive way.
Gary Taylor-Fletcher: No one really remembers why Gary Taylor-Fletcher is amongst the most hated players in the League. Some people believe it was because of some smart-alecky comments that the player made a couple of seasons ago. However
no one is really sure why he is subject to so much hatred. But what can be said for sure is that most fans hate the player and don’t really care if they can remember why they feel that way about him.
Sol Campbell: Sol Campbell has a wide array of football fans who target the player repeatedly and force him to be the butt of numerous jokes that are made regarding football. It is slightly confusing when people try to get to the bottom
of the barrel to find out just why the defender is hated so much. Apart from the Tottenham fans, who hate the player for leaving the team to join their arch rivals Arsenal, it is impossible to actually have a reason to hate the player. On the other hand, the
self satisfied vibe that bounces of the defender could also be one of the reasons, behind everyone disliking the player. It could also be down the to the fact that the player, left Arsenal to join Newcastle, which most people felt was a stupid move and caused
them to question the thought process that went on inside the players head.
Charles N'Zogbia: Charles N’Zogbia is nothing short of being an over grown baby. The player seems to grow tired of whatever team he is playing for after a while and then tends to start throwing some rather childish tantrums, to get his way.
The player tends to stop performing when he feels he doesn’t like his current team anymore and then starts to go to the press and make claims about how the team that he wished to go to is so much better than his current team. It is actions like these that
have caused N’Zogbia to become one of the most hated players in the league.
Luis Nani: Luis Nani is quite possibly one of the best players in the current Manchester United squad. The winger has it all, pace, close control, the ability to play on either wing, good shooting and even better crossing. However when a
player with such a great resume, starts to resort to things like diving on the pitch to gain the advantage over his opponents, he is tend to feel the hate that the millions of fans watching from home are bound to throw at him. A player who is capable of changing
a game in the blink of an eye, due to his own talents should never even think about relying on whining and simulating to get the upper hand in a game. The best example of the players poor discipline came this past Sunday when United took on Liverpool. Nani
had been superb throughout the game but in the last few minutes, the Portuguese player crumbled after touching Daniel Agger. Nani was looking to win a penalty of the defender but the referee and the entire crowd read the players bluff and that one act changed
the fans opinion about the players performance during the game.
