  1. Parent material, climate. topography, and organisms are factors that act over time to form soil. The same parent material can form different soil profiles with different climates and organisms acting. For this reason many pedologists consider climate the most dominant factor in soil formation rather than the parent material or organisms. Each factor has its adherents as the dominant factor however.

  2. Basically the answer to this question is CLIMATE.

    The other options are dependent upon the action of climate. Soil composition is determined by the type of climate an area have. For example if the area do have a rainy season for most of the year then erosion and siltation will occur in a higher percentage than in areas with lesser rainfall. the tendency is for the area to have young soil type for the main reason the area is continually eroded.
