The most infamous arrests in NBA history (Part-4)
Isaiah Rider:
Isaiah Rider spent almost nine years in the National Basketball Association (NBA). His professional basketball career was a story of arrests and controversies as he was arrested roughly 832 times. Rider, who retired from NBA in
2010, was involved in number of serious offences including, altercation, kidnapping, and fighting with his superiors on number of occasions. He was also involved once in extreme altercation with a sports bar manger. The police charged him with fifth degree
assault and sent him to jail on that occasion.
Rider, who made early impression with his game during the college days, always remained in media limelight with his different stunts as a professional basketball player. He never showed a true character of an NBA player whose first
priority always rest with his game.
Rider went to University of Nevada in Los Vegas and played his college basketball with Nevada University. He started his basketball career in 1993 when the Minnesota Timberwolves selected him 5th overall in the first
round of NBA 1993 draft. Rider played wonderfully in his Rookie season and acclaimed much appreciation from many basketball experts. He then went on to play for the Portland Trail Blazers, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Denver Nuggets.
Jason Kidd:
Jason Kidd recently won the National Basketball Association (NBA) trophy with the Dallas Mavericks. He is renowned as an extreme hard-worker who never showed any loop holes in his entire professional basketball career. He has almost
spent 17 years in the league and over the years, he has earned the respect of not only his fans, but also his contemporaries.
In such kind of article in which we are discussing about the arrests in NBA and players who have been involved in such kind of bad activities where their potential arrest were essential, no one will think about the inclusion of
Jason Kidd in to this list. But on the other hand, it’s true that he too has been involved in the past in such kind of activities where police have cautioned him over domestic violence. Kidd had a troubled time with his previous wife, who often created a situation
by calling police and accusing Kidd of domestic violence.
Although, Kidd was never sentenced to jail for those accusations, but player like him still faced utter shame whenever he came out in public.
