The most pets you have ever had at one time?

I once had 2 labs, 6 mini dashunds, and 3 cats. my vet had an assistant who had 34 dogs...

I do fostering for an organization here in Town... for feral pregnant mothers and their kittens... and non-feral cats as well.  I have 7 of my own, and sometimes I'm upwards of 10 or 12... depending on how many kittens I have at the time.  I have a separate "foster room" for any expectant mothers and babies....

Ok, its changed ( my outside cat gets around which is a girl!) So far we have had 5 litters another coming up so. right now we have 3 kittens 3 cats 1 maltichi. The most would be... hmm

6 kittens 3 cats and 1 maltichi!

I currently have 7 geckos (2 are crested), 5 brown tree toads, 1 male bearded dragon, 2 skinks, 2 sugar gliders(m/f), 2 cats, 2 dogs and 1 male coatimundi (look it up), opps almost forget to mention 11 hermits crabs and 2 flat rock scorpions.  Yes, I do have a miniature zoo.  :-)

At one time I've had:

a horse

5 kittens (one of our cats is their mum)

(my parents are vets)

But in my whole life I've had an extra

Other than fish, I wasn't allowed to have them except I have 2 guinea pigs now and someday I hope to get a dog or at least a cat.

34 dogs?  Hopefully they were all allowed to play with each other and weren't cooped up in kennels.  I can't see how you could give each one sufficient human attention.

Personally, I couldn't tell you.  I (or my family and I or individuals in my family) have owned so many animals over the years.  Hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, rabbits, fish, water frogs, hermit crabs, tarantulas, anoles (they don't do well with me), snakes, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, pygmy goats, and even a duck.  I think we had about half that list at one point in time.

About the only indoor animal type I have yet to own are "caged birds."   Maaaaybe I'll get some finches after I graduate and get my own home.

When I was a kid the most we had at one time was.........

and

2 gerbils

Those were the days. Our parents got divorced and I guess that was our moms way of making us happy. It worked. But of course we had to give away all the puppies and kittens. We got to keep 1 pet each, except the last three pets mentioned.

I had 6 cats at the most, but many cats came to our house like pet cats, hoping to be fed, so I count them and it makes more than 10 at the same time. One of my friends had more than 30 cats... all so adorable! =)
