The motion on HD tv's used to be unstable. have they corrected that and what brands eliminate that.?

HD tv's had difficulty when there was fast motion as it looked blurry. Have they fixed that and what brands now have that problem fixed?

  1. As far as I know plasmas never had a fast motion break up.  LCDs have better processors now so they dont break up.  Sony and samsung are the best in my opinion.


  2. In the early days, 1080 had issues which is why lots of stations standardized on 720.  But as we are now in the 5 or 6 generation of HDTV, motion blur is only seen on the really cheap sets these days.

    LCD's do have "window blind" issues: if the camera pivots while showing a complex scene, you can see the lines as the processor paints bands, but 120 hz refresh solves a lot of this.

    I saw a demo between a LG and Pioneer Kuro  and if they were not side-by-side, I would not have noticed the refresh problem.  Stick with Sony, Samsung, and Pioneer as they have done more work on the more subtle issues.
