Okay, I am a 23 year old female that is extremely overweight. I am 5'6 and weigh 280 pounds. My waist is like 40 some inches and my BMI was 42 last year when i was 40 pounds ligher. Yes, I gained like 40 pounds in a year. I eat too much is an understatement. Okay, my question is how does the process with diet pills go? I am going to find me a doctor, as I don't really have a personal one, and tell them I want some diet pills. I need to do something because I am just starting to get stretchmarks on my neck and I wish to join the military because I scored very well on the ASVAP. I am more masculine built and I have very, very huge b*****s, very wide shoulders, and very big arms, legs, and feet... no hips or butt. I feel that I need all the help I can get. So, should a doctor give me a quick and easy yes followed by a prescription or is there a process to this? I need to lose half of my body weight and I used to exercise. Excercising isn't the problem, it's the food and my lack of motivation... or is it me... I am a bit depressed, but I'm smart enough not to tell the doctor that. I just look horrible and need a push (diet pills) to this weight loss thing.

  1. Three steps that have really helped me are dieting, exercising, and the correct weight loss supplement for losing weight. Focus on those three things and you will lose weight considerably. I exercise 30 mins a day along with taking Proactol, a natural weight loss supplement that I saved money on at theweightlossplace.com

Good luck and stay focused = )

  2. I'm not sure where you're from and what is available to you out there as far as prescribed diet pills. Here in the states we used to have Meridia, which was supposed to control your appetite. To be honest, it doesn't work very well.

Any other pill the doc can prescribe you are fat blockers. If you eat the way you are now, you will have extreme side effects of uncontrollable diarrhea or anal leakage. That will turn you off, and you'll find you won't take them anyway. You still need to eat right.

Docs are quick to write Rx for anything, so getting one wouldn't be a problem. The fact is, you need to change your relationship with food. Don' expect to pop a pill and it solve your weight problem.

My advice to you is rather than find yourself a doctor, find yourself a nutritionist or dietician. They will help teach you what foods to eat and what ones to avoid. Pills aren't the answer. There's no easy way out. Use your desire to join the military as a goal, and let it give you motivation.
