  1. Water is pulled in through incurrent canals into the hollow center of the organism then flows out through the ostium.

    -- The water coming in passes over choanocytes (the flagellated cells responsible for pulling the water in) and organic particles are filtered and digested.

    I'm not sure about the rest...
