The movie the Notebook?

Question

I never saw the movie the notebook but i recently got it and i heard that its good but its really sad at the end...I don't know if i want to watch it if its so sad. Is it even worth watching? Whats the sad part? [so i am prepared]

WARNING~~SPOILERS~~

I thought it was a good flick and that should mean something coming from a guy.  I'd say it's worth watching if you like romance films.  The sad part is that one of the characters has alzheimer's and can't remember the other.  Also, death is involved at the very end.  I tried to be at least a little vague so that you can still get some enjoyment from it.  Hope this helps.

Skip the movie. First read the book by Nicolas Sparks. It's very sad yes, but a great love story. It was on the New York Times best seller list in its first week of release and spent over a year as a hardcover best seller. It's not long and you can breeze through it in a few days but it will stay with you for a long, long time. THEN watch the movie.

The movie does make me cry, but it is definitely worth watching. It has an amazing story line and I loved it. What happens is that there is an old couple and the man is telling the story to his wife who has dementia. The wife cannot remember her story or anything or even him so he moved into the nursing home with her and reads to her every day so he can help her remember. Later the wife remembers everything but forgets a couple of minutes later and to me this was sad, but I cry easily. At the end of the movie the lady asks that if she goes if he will to and he says yes our love can do anything and they both die in their sleep that night. It is a tearjerker, but it was an amazing movie and I definitely recommend watching it.

If you like the movie A Walk to Remember, then watch The Notebook. I'm sure you will enjoy it, they are similar. It's not such a sad movie, but it certainly doesn't have a happy ending.

Hi Trust me you wont be sorry you watched this movie. It is my all time fav movie i love it so much.

Yes it is so sad and if your a sappy romantic like me...there will be little bits in the movie that will make you tear up...but when you watch the whole movie you think that it is so worth all the tears because its like nothing like you never seen before and it really shows what trie love is all about...the best

It is so worth watching! the notebook is one of my favorite movies it is so  sweet! trust me you dont want me to ruin the end of the movie for you it defeats the purpose of an awesome movie. it is a sad ending but it is definately worth watching!
