  1. The uncontrollable "twitching" in your thigh muscle is probably caused by muscle spasms and there are a number of reasons why you could be having muscle spasms in your thigh; the most likely reason being the overuse of a muscle.  Also, you haven't really given us a lot of information - for instance, do you ever feel pain when your muscle "twitches"?

The following site is called "Thigh Spasm" - "involuntary muscle movements in the thigh" and has a comprehensive list of possible causes of thigh spasm:

Edit:  Did you check out the web site?  In my case, it started with just muscle spasms and I thought it would just go away; it did, but then it would come and go.  It wasn't until I started having painful muscle cramps that I went to my Doctor and found out it was a calcium deficiency; calcium helps muscles contract and relax.  Also, anxiety can cause your muscles to spasm and I had that too; although I was unaware of it at the time.  I wouldn't worry that it is something serious, but if it continues you should see your Doctor.  Just a little change in diet - adding calcium to my diet, for instance - could solve easily solve the problem.

And as I mentioned in my answer above, you could have overused the muscle in that leg without being aware of it and that could cause muscle spasm.  Try massaging your thigh and see if that helps.
