The mysterious disappearance of Steve Fossett?

All searches have proved inconclusive and no trace of any wreckage or debris from his light aircraft.

Do you think that there was anything suspicious regarding the disappearance of Steve Fossett flying over the Nevada dessert?

i had wondered if he had done a "canoe" man or it was a suicide, or heaven forbid anything else, rather than a straight forward crash.

But I suspect that investigations are being or have been carried out, especially if money is going to be paid out! I agree that the timeline is a bit short to declare him "dead".

Was there a purpose to his last journey?

he's out in the desert somewhere, although his wife is certain he'll never be found! hence her having the court pronounce him dead - a lot of money involved!!

A better question is what secrets were US government trying to hide in the Nevada desert that Steve Fosset may have accidentally seen, and where are they holding him?

I doubt if he could have survived five weeks in the desert if his plane was forced to land? or even worse if it crashed, I cant figure out why the google video screen caps for that date didnt show up at least a few images of his plane? unless it was an overcast day and he was below the clouds?

steve fosset was an adventurer..he most likly tried to overfly the nellis test range..i.e. area 51 or one of the other top secret sites that dot the nevada desert.     if he did then he would of been brought down by ground to air missiles.       out there is 51...s4...".the ranch"  and other sites authorised to use deadly force and guarded by the wackenhut security agency

Perhaps it was yet more trigger happy American "friendly fire" this time against a fellow American.

He was a very capable pilot  and nobody even received a distress message, I am not usually a conspiracy theorist but this is very strange
