What do you think of the name 'Bane' for a character I am working on?

When I see Bane . . .I think of a wolf.  Wolfbane is a plant, an herb, the name of a science fiction novel by Frederick Pohl, Wolfbane Cybernetic ( a research group studying planets and clusters of galaxies), and was also the name of a band . . . If your Bane is a werewolf, or some futuristic hero, you got it made ! !

It depends what the character is like. Bane is a centaur in harry Potter, so bane is a bit of a name to do with the stars, or something, as far as I remember...

it's a Hawaiann name too.

Its like a fantasy type name as it features in The Dark Tower series, Bane in that series is a mono rail train!

If your charactor is in kind of fantasy then it should be okay.
