The name Nevaeh.....

okay. the name Nevaeh. I absolutely hate it with a passion. and i could care less if it is heaven spelled backwards,

ITS TACKY!!!!!

am I crazy, or does anyone else share my hatered for the name (if you could even call it a name, it is more like a bundle of letters horribably put together.)

I love the name... I just think it is pretty... when i heard it i loved it and didnt know it was heaven spelled backwards..   i dont think you all should  ridicule people because they like a name...

I agree with you. I don't understand it. It is tacky and seems backwards. Why heaven backwards? Why not Modgnik or Eseiarap? Which is Kingdom and Paradise spelled backwards. They are really stupid names. It is a very weird trend.

I agree! It's so played out now. People are using it left and right. The thing I hate the most is how people around here (my town) use the name but try to spell it their own way. That's the stupidest thing I heard. Some girl spelled her daughter's name "Naveah" and had the nerve to argue with me that it was Heaven spelt backwards

I don't hate it, but it's not my favorite. I know many cute little girls with the name Nevaeh. I agree it's spelled really weird..

Yes, I agree. I suggest there be an Illegal Name Law since the Government has taken away some of our rights after 9/11. Though that would pushing boundaries and asking for disaster. We cannot please everyone.

A lot of people hate Nevaeh. It's a ridiculous name.

Neva is an OK alternative. It means "snow".

EDIT: Nevaeh was a name that began in evangelical Christian circles. It kind of makes sense for a highly Christian family to name their child after their religion. But it's still tacky.

I hate it with a passion! I mentioned this the other day on the names you hate question. I did a custom embroidery job for a little girl named Naveah, I cofirmed the spelling 3 times. The mom kept on replying, "Yes, Naveah, it is Heaven spellled backwards" OK?? It can never be said as just Nevaeh either, it is always followed by "It's Heaven spelled backwards".  VERY very down market.

I named my cat that when i first heard it 4 years ago. but I was 10 so i liked it. now i don't i think its kinda stupid. and it makes me cry cuz my cat died!

How is it even supposed to be pronounced? Heaven spelt backwards. Personally, I don't like that name. It's just weird.
