Question:

The name Teagan?

I've seen the name Teagan mentioned a lot in the baby names section and people generally say it's an Irish name. I've seen lots of different meanings being attributed to it. Just curious about it as I don't actually know anyone with the name.

Does anyone know where the name actually came from and , if it's Irish, what is it in the Irish form? or is it just some kind of madey-uppy name?

(I'm Irish myself by the way)

  4. I'm Irish and I'm pretty sure it's not Irish.  I've never met another Irish person with that name.  The first time I ever heard it was on some Australian soap.  It actually sounds really Aussie.  Or else it's a made-up  "Oirish" name like Katelyn/Caitlyn and all the other ones from the baby name websites.

  5. I've never heard of it before in my life
