The name of this huge hamster?

Ok i remember seeing an animal on tv that looked like a huge hamster may have horns and gets in the water...its huge like a big guinea pig or hamsters. coudl you help?

Hello it is called capivara and it live in south america in the Amazone is a mammal  and its very big and it loves to swim.

Sounds like you are thinking of the capybara of South America. Some have been spotted here in the U.S. People eat them in South America, and are standard for Easter dinner.
