The natural is a vampire story

tell me if i suck:

for this english ap garbage summer reading c**p, i'm saying roy hobbs is the victim of a vampire story, as the judge sucks away his life force. we had to apply the essentials of the vampire story to a novel we read, so i picked the natural. does that make sense? let me clarify:

vampire- knights owner the judge. he ruins roy's career

"young female" in distress/victim- roy

it's kind of abstract but that's all english is about anyway, right? abstract, seemingly random connections?
