The needle thread will not pick up the bobbin...

Question

Everything looks right -- I have rethreaded the machine and rewound the bobbin several times and changed the needle. I took it apart and cleaned an oiled it, but still the top thread will not pick up the bobbin thread.My machine is a Bernina 1260 -- not listed in the product list.
