  1. It's O'Bie's choice and I think he was trying to show the team some stability.  Taffe sticking around may help the players stop worrying if they're next and start performing on the field.  There are some good players on that team and if Printers and Lumsden can stay healthy the O has a strong nucleus.  If O'Bie had fired Taffe and brought in a new guy I think it could have made things worse.  After a couple of dreadful seasons, the Cats need to find some positives and work towards improving.  We'll have to wait and see if Bob was right or not.

  2. If you add an extra "l," yeah, O'Billovich is an excellent choice. Look at his track record here with BC as director of player personnel and his coaching record with the Argos.

  3. they always blame the coach

  4. Well, Charlie Taffe was a good football man, who had a horrid year, which wasn't all his fault.  One doesn't suddenly go stupid.  Just give him a few more players, a little more talent to work with, and Hamilton is due to improve markedly.

  5. It is a good choice, you have got to give him a legitimate chance to do his job. You really can't blame the teams problems on the coach at this point. Also the worst thing that you could do to the team is make the struggling team learn a new system. The team is obviously struggling , but it wont help them get any better if they get a new coach and have to learn a new system. You have to give the coach one more year at least to prove that he can make Hamilton a winning team.

Not to mention he is a two time CFL coach of the year.
