How about the sound quality?

I have a Bose system and a Pioneer Elite 42 in. tv. I am thinking of getting a Playstation 3 for Blue-ray disks.

For the price is it a good deal? Do you know if the system has a good rating? The cost is $399.00

  1. Yes the PS3 does play BluRays. I bought my PS3 when they first came out and went ahaed and got a 42" 1080P TV to go with it and I play BluRays on the PS# all the time. They look great!!!

I love the PS3. It is all around a great machine.

  2. It's a really awesome system. It got criticized when it was first released for having a very high price tag, at $599.99. But now it is on a level, price-wise, with the Microsoft Xbox360 console. Just like any other Blu-Ray player, it will play Blu-Ray movies. The Sony Playstation 3 has HDMI output and supports full 1080p resolution, that's the best that the world has to offer right now.

If you compare the price of the Playstation 3 to any other Blu-Ray player, you'd find out that the Playstation 3 is the cheapest alternative to a regular Blu-Ray player; those usually cost upwards to $999.99 for the Pioneer Elite model. They average around $800 I would say. It's a really good system, and not only does it play Blu-Ray discs, you can also play Playstation 3, Playstation 2, and Playstation games on your system!
