The new alarm I put in my recently purchased used Camaro does not unlock the door !! Anyone have any ideas why

The only time it unlocks using the alarm fob is after I unlock it initially with a key. Only then will it lock and unlock using the alarm fob. After a while, it goes back to not unlocking itself, and I again have to manually unlock it. The car didnt come with a remoteless entry key fob when i bought it. Just two keys, one to lock and unlock doors and one to start car. Of course the alarm i had installed came with it and a kill switch.
