The new harry potter movie isnt coming out until summer?

I heard that the new harry potter movie isnt coming out until the summer of 2009 because warner bros made so much money with batman that they don't need any more money this year. Is that true?

i dont think so... a more logical reason would have been that it's taking longer to edit and actually finish the movie.

but twilight is coming out now, so we get to see if it is as good as harry potter [not likely], or just plain horrible.

i love the twilight books, but im not enthusiastic about the movie, but

i hate the harry potter books, but lovee the movies.

There  are too many theories as to why,Some say it has to do with Daniel Radcliffe's play.Who knows,But yes it has been bumped.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was originally intended for release around Christmas 2008. It has actually been delayed for release early 2009 (I think around Easter.)

As far as I have heard, the reason it was delayed is because it's taking a bit longer to film and edit than anticipated.

No its because they want a weekend without any other movies releases. It's the stupidest reason I've ever heard of to push back a movie. You may be right though. That makes sense too

it's true that its not coming out til 09 but thats not the reason.  the reason is because they want to put it out in the summer BECAUSE Batman made so much money at the time it came out.  Not cause they don't need the money.  :)

it's not about that they don't need more money. but with the success of the dark night this summer, they see how valuable a summer slot can be. and the same slot that they used for dark night opened up for next summer, so they wanted to use harry potter to fill it.
